In this project, the customer required that we convert a single skin block garage into a habitable room.
This required single brick course around external walls, Which was then coated with a bituminous paint, in order to provide a waterproof base to situate our internal stud wall.
The stud walls where built in order to create a cavity between the external skin, and the internal wall.
After the building of the walls, it was time to get the first fix of plumbing in, ready for the new radiator to be fitted on completion.
The walls where then insulated, with thermal insulation boards, in order to comply with building regulations.
The next stage was to plasterboard the walls, and also to create a boxed in area to cover the boiler, and to create an accessible point for the electric fuse box.
We then went on to plaster all walls, and then finish with skirting boards, architraves, coving and radiator.
The completed project has since been revisited and looks great.
Small Patio Area
In this project, we removed the old pathway, and uneven ground, in order to provide a clear slabbed area for the customer to gain access to there new garage conversion.
we also created a step, to provide ease of access to the garage, as the customer has difficulty in getting round.
